Since 1984, Dawn has consulted to management in areas that positively contribute to organizational performance. She has also been involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures and served as a Board member with a variety of professional and industry associations and a Judge of prestigious provincial, national and international award programs.
Dawn has been recognized by her peers with the Fellow Certified Management Consultant designation (CMC Alberta), Quality & Excellence Builder Award (Quality Council of Alberta) and the Alto Award for Innovative Marketing (Travel Alberta).
Most recently, Dawn authored the Organizational Excellence Framework (2010) and accompanying toolkit. Papers on this publication have been published in respected international journals and presented at national and international conferences. The toolkit includes scenario games, a series of workshops, an automated assessment and reporting tool and a train-the-trainer program. The automated tool is being used to do the 'first global assessment on the current state of organizational excellence' launched by the Organizational Excellence Technical Committee QMD ASQ and supported by the Global Benchmarking Network, International Academy for Quality and ISO Technical Committee 176.
She worked on a Canadian Committee that contributed to the new ISO standard for management consulting (20700) and currently serves as: a Board Member on the Global Benchmarking Network, an Executive Team Member on the Organizational Excellence Technical Committee, a Leader on the Content Management Committees for the Quality Management Division at ASQ.
Dawn has a passion for quality and enjoys working with organizations on their journey to excellence and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Towards this end, she is a Speaker with MacKay CEO Forums.
